The Polish Geological Society invites you to participate in the 3rd Core Logging School (CoLoS), which will take place on 13–17 September 2026.
The School offers a comprehensive introduction to the theoretical background and practical aspects of sedimentological borehole core logging. The programme is designed for geoscientists at various stages of their professional careers, combining lectures, real-world case studies, and hands-on exercises. It includes one day of theoretical classes and three days of intensive practical training in a professional core repository environment
The theoretical part of the School, along with accommodation, will be held at the Hotel Mazurek in Koło, while the practical training sessions will take place at the Core and Geological Samples Archive of the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute (PIG-PIB) in Leszcze.
This four-day School will be led by experienced instructors with extensive backgrounds in borehole core logging, covering both academic research and applied industrial projects.
